Echo of Paradise is a place for me to catalog my life – a place to think and create.

I chose the name Echo of Paradise because isn’t that what life is? Ecclesiastes says “there is nothing new under the sun,” and I think it’s true! C.S. Lewis, in The Last Battle, describes the difference between the echo and the eternal like this: “the sea in the mirror, or the valley in the mirror, were in one sense just the same as the real ones: yet at the same time they were somehow different – deeper, more wonderful, more like places in a story: in a story you have never heard but very much want to know.” Everything on earth is but a picture of Eden, and what the new heavens and new earth will be like. Everything here should point us to paradise.

So my life is but an echo of eden, and the faintest possible picture of what is better and more real. Welcome to my life – my faint, blurry echo of the paradise that was in Eden, and will be when Christ returns.
